About
Sister Moonshine are an emerging Adelaide five-piece blending classic soul and 70s songwriting with modern indie and alt-rock. Formed by Eyre Peninsula musicians Claudia Prue (vocals), Titan Austin (guitar) and Josh Phillips (drums), the band expanded in Adelaide with bassist Arthur Mezak and keyboardist Jake Costin. Their songs favour slow-burning grooves over instant hooks, layering warm keys, melodic basslines, expressive guitar and tight rhythms into expansive choruses. Claudia’s vocals and introspective lyrics explore relationship insecurity, communication breakdowns and emotional instability, drawing influence from neo-soul artists including Lianne La Havas, Olivia Dean and Cleo Sol. With debut single Everybody Wants You out now, an EP produced by Dusty Lee Stephensen (Wanderers, Dustyn) on the way, and a growing live following, Sister Moonshine are confidently establishing their distinctive sound.
