Avra Banerjee

Avra Banerjee is an award-winning composer, sarod player, and world music artist based in Perth, Western Australia. Trained in the Hindustani classical tradition, he blends Indian classical music with global influences to create contemporary world, fusion, instrumental and vocal works. Avra has collaborated with artists from Australia, India, Europe, and the United States, and has released over 70 singles and tracks alongside more than eight albums through renowned record labels and independent releases, with music available on all major digital streaming platforms worldwide. A voting member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), Avra is the founder of Perth based band SwaraSynthesis. and performed in festivals like Perth Festivals, Fringe Festivals and The Blue Room Theatre Festivals. His work has earned international recognition through awards including the InterContinental Music Awards, Global Music Awards, WAM Awards and the Asia Pacific Arts Awards nomination (Creative Australia).
